Edge-lighting is a process in which we’ve created panels that bend around our internal battery, creating a compact design that creates a soft diffused light.
A unique textured pattern on the PowerLight panel reflects LED lights on a steep angle to control where and when it escapes the lens of the lantern. The pattern follows a gradient, allowing us to create an even light throughout the entire bulb.
This allows us to create a powerful light with no hotspots that can simultaneously fit in the palm of your hand. Non-edge lit designs require cavernous spaces and high-lumen counts mean concentrated glares that can leave spots in your eyes.
